Simulations

LeanForward’s elearning simulations enable clients to efficiently convey complex information by immersing learners in realistic situations which allows them to “learn by doing". These simulations provide valuable experiential learning by enabling users to practice the tasks they need to master and experience the results of their actions in a safe and supportive environment.

While simulations can be used for a wide range of training situations, they normally fall into one of the following categories;

• Software simulations – enable users to familiarize themselves with new software applications by practicing how to use the software in a realistic but non-production environment.
• Role play scenarios – are very effective for teaching soft skills such as sales, customer service or leadership. 
• Task-based simulation – are used to teach users how to perform critical tasks such as auditing a facility, setting up a work area or operating a piece of equipment. 
• Business simulations – enable users to learn about complex processes or issues by placing them in control of realistic business situations.  Such simulations may take the form of learning games which are sometime referred to as Immersive Learning Simulations (ILS).

In addition to immersing the learner into the given application, scenario or situation, LeanForward’s simulations also guide their learning experience with instructionally sound feedback and direction. Learners are provided feedback on:

• each task they perform or decision they make
• their overall process toward their goal
• the impact their performance is having on key performance metrics
• the overall impact their efforts are having on the organization
